Slip and slide and swimming

 Slip And Slide And Swimming

Hello bloggers, on Thursday we did the slip and slide. If you were wandering what slip and slide is? It is a huge mat with soap and water. It looks scary at first but later on it i'll get better. At the end of the mat is a wet cushion that you can land on (you'll maybe go further)

I'm not sure if you can go slower or faster down the slide. After about 5 I think, turns on the slide you go rinse your self and swim in the pool. Then the next group of people go to the slide and have 5 turns each.

There was so many soap at the end of the cushion but some of the people missed the soap. Then it was lunch time and we had a choice to still swim or not. Here is a picture of the slip and slide.

Dot art for Christmas

                                                         Dot art

Hello bloggers, today we did a tree art for Christmas. We had a piece of a paper and a pin. We had to put a picture of a tree on top of the paper and put the pin through the dots.

It was so hard but really fun so I decided to do the outside first to make it easy. After I finished I did the inside, when I finished the inside I double checked for any more dots.

Then it was time to open it when I opened the paper, It looked so cool!!

But when I put it on the window it looked even better. After that I was finished.

summer learning journey

  •
Which is real and which is fake

Today we where introduced to the summer learning journey. We did an activity. The activity was to paint in a picture of our choice. As you can see I did the Statue of Liberty.

It took me a while to choose what picture to do. We had to answer some questions to get on the site most likely as your school and your name.

So I decided to do the Statue of Liberty. When we finished we had to download it to our blog.  Please look at another "which is real and which is fake".

bike skills

                                                              Big Foot Bike Skills

Hello bloggers, on Monday and Tuesday we went big foot bike skills. Before we got started we had to learn how to put a helmet on. When we put our helmet one we put 2 fingers on our head, four on our ears and 1 under the strap.

We had to have a bike that was our size when we got the good bike we had to test 4 things. The air, the breaks, chain, drop, those where the four. We then played a game called red light green light. We had to go in a circle in green light and stop in red.

Then we learned hand signals if we put our right hand to the side we go right if the left we go left. But if we put our hands in the air we stop. After that we played a racing game but the winner for it is the looser you had to go as slow as possible. Then we went in the class and said good bye!

Skate Boarding

                                                                 Skateboarding

Hello bloggers... Don't worry this blogpost has nothing to do with maths. Today we went skateboarding, we learned a lot of new tricks. At first I was not confident then I was. I felt more confident because our instructors taught me different skills. I learnt how to ride a skateboard.

The first trick was called front side and back side. To do it you need to stand on your skate board and lean forwards and backwards. We also learned how to stop and it was pretty easy, you just have to put your foot on the ground.

A great thing about the lesson was we got into groups. The people who can make it to the other side of the court is in one group the others were in another. Another thing that was good was that we played whats up wolf. It was like whats the time MR wolf but better and on skate boards. In
the end I went from a fixed mind set to a growth mind set.

 Production

Hello Bloggers, last week we had production and it was called "Jasmine and Aladdin". It had 9 scenes, I was a Palace Guard and all palace guards had the same costume. We had a red dress and yellow on our shoulders with a belt. Each guard had a line or at least something to do.

On scene two that's the first time we go on the stage. We have to find princess Jasmine but Aladdin stops us. Are next time on the stage is scene four where I have to shout out NEXT!!!

Then I'm on scene 8. where I get hypnotized so I bring Aladdin to the dungeon which is scene 8. Then I'm in scene nine where all of the dancers teach Omar evil magician lesson of respect. Then it's the end where Jasmine is able to travel with her friends.

Basket ball

Basket ball with the kiwi sports people

For P.E the kiwi sports coaches came to our school to teach us about the game of basketball with us. We started off with a game of basket ball tag. Have you played basketball tag before? We had to tag people with the ball then they will freeze. To free them we had to do the floss for 5 seconds.

We had to make our tummy face the ball so we did some cool passing it was hard but I could do it. The time I had some momentum I dropped the ball then I got really mad with myself.

So then we did some moves. One was called the sandwich, we had to spin while dribbling it was easy. You use the sandwich in a game so the opponent can't steal the ball from you. Another trick was bouncing the ball through our l
egs. In total there was five tricks.

I was sweating!!! But then it was near the end so we played a  Game.We had to be in a circle and we had to tackle the ball from the other player.  then were in the middle and try save the ball.

I was sweating but then I had a big drink of water. Then I was ok. I did writing after and then I was finished.

Mono print

 Mono Print
Hello bloggers this week we did a mono print. To create a mono print you need a big piece of paper and a sketching pencil and an A3 board and a roller with black paint.

So first you need to create your drawing and shape it with the board to make the drawing an A3 size. Then trace it on a window to make 2 of the same pictures. You then need to paint the A3 board black with the roller.

Then you line the pictures up with the black boards. The size must be A3. Then you outline the picture so it can show on the bottom of the paper. Then you lift up the paper carefully and let it dry and then colour it in.
